Definition of Every Metric on the Dashboard

Views

Every page view event recorded by every user. Includes if the user refreshed the page, or navigated back to it.

People/Visitors

Unique sessions. Sessions are reset at midnight UTC every night. A user coming back after this time will be counted again.

Realtime

Pages and referrers in the last 15 minutes.

Average Time on Site

The median session length.

Page

The unique domain and path combination that comprises a unique page.

Time

This is the median time a user spent on this page, in hours:minutes:seconds.

Scroll

This is the scroll depth.

It is calculated as bottom of the viewport divided by the total page height, in pixels.

This means that, for example, a page height of 1000 pixels, where the initial above the fold is 300 pixels, will show a scroll depth of 30%.

Entries

This is number of times this page was the first page in a user's session.

Exits

This is the number of times this page was the last page in a user's session.

Views

The number of non-unique times this page was viewed.

Domain

The hostname that was recorded. Useful for when Glass is installed across multiple domains or subdomains and cross-domain tracking.

Referrer

The referring website by session. Many websites do not publish referrer details.

Next Page & Prev Page

When a page filter is enabled, this shows the flow of traffic before and after this page.

This data is collected by navigator.userAgent.

Browser

One of:

  • Edge

Countries

The country the visitor originated from.

This is IP geolocation data provided by Cloudflare's network.

These are individual click events recorded on external links.

UTM Campaign Tags

Campaign, Source, Medium, Content & Term

These are the UTM tags, analogous to the same UTM tags introduced by Google Analytics. These represent the sessions with these tags.
