The Glass Analytics Dashboard

The Stats Bar

The stats bar

The stats bar shows:

  • Realtime The number of people who have visited your website in the last 15 minutes.
  • People The number of people who have visited your website in the time period selected. This is based on anonymous sessions. If user returns after midnight UTC, they are counted again.
  • Views This is the number of page-views in the time period selected.
  • Time on Site This is the average of the daily time on site, which is itself calculated as the median time on site for each page view.

Chart

Glass Analytics Chart

The chart shows:

  • Day of the week & date
  • Number of pageviews
  • Number of people
  • Average time spent

The right hand side is dotted to represent today's incomplete data. It will become a solid line once the day is complete.

Data is transformed to your local timezone.

Refererers

What is a referrer?

When a user clicks on a link, the 'referring' website sends, through your browser, its address, to the destination site, which can be picked up in analytics.

Limitations

Many websites do not pass referrer anymore. These will show up as Direct / Unknown in Glass. Referrer is not a conclusive way of tracking traffic, and should be combined with UTM parameters for proper traffic attribution.

Referrer analysis

Next Page/Previous Page

Glass monitors the flow of traffic through your website.

When you activate a filter in the Pages, the Next Page and Prev Page tabs automatically appear.

Countries

Filtering the data by a different feature (e.g. by Country) will show the quantity of users that clicked on the links.

Filtering the data the link itself will show the pages where those links were clicked.
